Internships
We have a long history of providing successful summer internships to undergraduate students from throughout New Zealand. In our 2018 intake, 100% of our summer interns said that they would recommend an internship with us, and that they would consider a career or another internship with Tait Communications.
The programme, which runs every year from November to February, offers students an excellent opportunity to get involved in a variety of research and design related projects, and gain valuable work experience. All of our projects focus around real life technical problems that our engineering teams face, and provide students with the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, making meaningful contributions that have a tangible impact on our business.
Tait summer internships are in partnership with Callaghan Innovation. To be eligible, students must:
- Be studying, or have recently completed, an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or qualification at NZQA level 7-10. If study has been completed, the closing date of your final semester should be less than 6 months ago.
- Be studying science, technology, engineering, design or business at a New Zealand tertiary education institute.
- Be legally permitted to work in New Zealand.
- Not have been previously employed at the business unless part-time or temporary.
- Not have undertaken more than two Experience Grant internships with the same business.
Projects are advertised in August/September each year and applications can be made online at that time.
