Santiago, Chile, April 24, 2026
Tait Communications, a global leader in interoperable, open standards communications solutions, has opened a new office in Santiago, Chile.
Located on the well-known Isidora Goyenechea Street, in the same building as the New Zealand Embassy, the new office marks a strategic step in strengthening Tait’s presence across South America. Andres Vidal, Business Development Manager for South America, will lead the office.
Tait Communications has partnered with dealers from several countries in the region, including Chile, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, as well as customers, reinforcing its commitment to the development of both local and regional markets.
The new office allows Tait to bring greater proximity, agility, and support to South American partners. The local presence also reinforces Tait’s focus on P25 solutions for mining and public safety sectors, driven by the growing demand for mission-critical communications. In addition, the company continues to expand DMR across the utilities and enterprise markets.
Tait is building a portfolio of integrated solutions, with the new multiband, multiprotocol 9900 Series of P25 digital radios, combined with broadband, services, and video solutions, delivering a complete platform for critical operations.
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) has supported Tait Communications in the region and in the opening of the Santiago office.
“Tait Communications is pleased to expand its presence in South America,” said Tait South America General Manager Ricardo Bovo. “In addition to our office in São Paulo, Brazil, the Chilean office will offer enhanced support and agility across the region. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnerships across the region.”
