Meet Yoram Benit, Interim Chief Executive at Tait

Yoram Benit started with Tait in early 2018, based in the United States as global President of Technology Integration. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer a year later and began spending more time at the company’s headquarters in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In announcing Yoram’s appointment as Interim CEO, Board Chair Sir Brian Roche said that at a time of transformation for Tait, Yoram’s technology and engineering expertise made him the right choice for the role.

“The Board is confident that Yoram, together with the rest of the leadership team, will ensure strong execution of Tait’s strategy to build on its product leadership and take advantage of the significant opportunities ahead as it continues to transform from an LMR to a multi-architecture solutions company.”

– Sir Brian Roche, Tait Board Chairman

Yoram’s Professional Background

Yoram spent 31 years with Motorola, starting as a field engineer and advancing to director-level leadership roles in Latin and North America, with responsibility for customer operations, technical support and marketing, sales engineering and product management.

In 2011, he was promoted to a Vice President role, with responsibility for product and solution management and pre-sales engineering. Later, with Harris’  Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) division, he was VP of Product Line Management.

Dr Benit’s academic qualifications include a BSc in Electrical Engineering, an Executive MBA in International Business and a Doctorate in Global Business Leadership.
