Tait at Austmine 2021
Sohan Domingo, Solutions Strategist at Tait, met with attendees at our booth to talk about the innovative solutions Tait can offer to mining organizations. Check out the video below for a glimpse into the insights Sohan had to share:
Tait has a long history of supporting mining operations around the world, offering guidance and solutions for their unique communications problems. We have a wealth of freely available resources on the digital transformation solutions Tait offers to improve mine safety and efficiency: check out our range of free webinars and whitepapers on this topic.
Digital Transformation for Mining
The whitepaper Digging Deeper with Digital forms a good introduction, or if you’d rather watch a video you can check out the Digital Transformation for Mine Safety and Efficiency webinar.
These resources both explore challenges in the industry, the range of communications technologies available, and how new broadband solutions such as Private LTE can turn data into actionable insights and full automation.
If you’re interested in finding out more about the roles that multiple technologies can play in a converged solution, our whitepaper No Point of Failure offers information on how you can leverage the best of existing technology for an integrated broadband solution. You can learn more about unified critical communications for mining in this free online training course on the Tait Radio Academy.
Edge Computing and IoT
Fore more information about the role of edge computing and IoT in communications, automation and applications for mining, have a look at the Digital Transformation at the Edge webinar. It explores how your fleet communications can be transformed to deliver smarter, safer working by building on and integrating with existing systems, using a number of TAIT AXIOM Mobiles case studies.
Edge computing solutions are also featured in our client story about the ConsMin Woodie Woodie Manganese mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This is one of the toughest mining environments around, making highly robust and reliable communications equipment a necessity to keep staff safe.
TAIT AXIOM Mobiles integrates the radio system with a third-party lightning alert service to auto-trigger and help ensure blast and other vulnerable areas are clear well ahead of strikes – a major innovation in mine safety.
Demonstration videos of the lightning strike alert, blast tones, and electronic signage control can be viewed here.
