Dan Draughn, Tait Communications’ Director of Global Solutions, will lead a session entitled ‘Utility Converged Communications’ at this week’s UTC Telecom and Technology Conference in Florida. Dan’s presentation, from 4.10pm on Thursday 8 June, is aimed at utility industry leaders researching the right Critical Communications tool for the right job. It provides insight into common industry challenges; increased reliability requirements, lower cost expectations, increased productivity, and improved worker safety.
Dan Draughn has more than 35 years’ experience working with utilities, public-safety agencies, state and local government, helping organizations implement complex solutions.
“Energy companies continue to face expanding expectations about safety and reliability,” Dan says. “As leaders review their wireless communications options, one might ask, ‘Do I still need mobile radio or can we use cellular or satellite to address my mobility requirements?’ I suggest it is valuable to look at why some see this strategic question as an ‘or’ while others are taking an ‘and’ approach.”
