New Board appointment for Tait Communications

  

Christchurch, New Zealand, 5 December 2025 

Tait International Ltd is pleased to announce Steve Tucker has joined its Board as a non-executive director. 

Mr Tucker is an experienced governance professional with a career spanning over three decades across the private and public sector, listed entities, education, and co-operative companies, with a strong focus on technology and manufacturing.

Based in New Zealand, he is currently Board Chair of global animal management and security solutions company, Gallagher Group, after serving as its Deputy Chief Executive for over 20 years.  

Tait Communications CEO and Managing Director Yoram Benit, PhD. says Mr Tucker’s experience will complement the Board as the company continues to expand globally.  

“We’re thrilled to welcome Steve to the Board. His proven track record in innovation, guidance and helping deliver sustainable growth aligns well with Tait’s vision and strategy.” 

Mr Tucker replaces David Randell, who finished in November. 

“I’d like to acknowledge David for his long-standing service on the Board. His contribution over the last 12 years has been key to Tait’s growth and success,” Dr Benit says.

Mr Tucker says he’s looking forward to joining the Tait team and contributing to the global growth plans of the company.

Mr Tucker also holds independent directorships at Eastpack, Asmuss Group, ArcActive, and Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. 

His earlier governance career includes Board roles at listed companies such as Methven and Rakon, as well as with other innovation-driven businesses. He has overseen complex mergers and acquisitions transactions, led capital investment programmes, and provided strategic guidance to impact investment funds and research partnerships. 

Mr Tucker brings deep expertise in financial management, risk oversight, and commercial strategy.
